Mexican Star

The Mexican Star design dates back to the Mexican- American War from 1846-1848.  Ruby Short McKim published a pattern in 1931in her book, 101 Patchwork Patterns.  Eleanor Burns has rewritten the pattern this year to make it fast and easy, using 2 1/2 inch strips.  Grab some strips, background fabric, and sashing, and come have fun making this quilt.     Pattern and ruler required.
